Unit Seven: Fifth Grade Objectives BIG 6 Step 1 - Task Definition TLW be able to define a topic (problem) given to them or that they choose. TLW identify the information required (key words, list of questions, etc.). Step 2 - Information Seeking Strategies (Methods) TLW determine the different possible sources to use. TLW will use appropriate and reliable sources as far as good or bad. Step 3 - Location and Access (Information) TLW locate (find) the sources he or she will use. TLW find the specific information needed from those sources. Step 4 - Use of Information TLW (read, listen or view) the information in the source selected TLW record the information to be used from the source. Step 5 - Synthesis (Putting all the information together) TLW organize (sequence) the information from several sources. TLW create a product (example: create a power point). Step 6 - Evaluation (judge the product / Power Point) TLW assess the quality of the product.
